SPEAKER: Charlotte Bonelli
TOPIC: Confronting Hate 1937 – 1952 The Campaign to Confront Anti-Semitism by the AJC
Ms. Bonelli will discuss the current exhibit at the New York Historical Society. The exhibit documents AJC’s 15 year campaign against all forms of American hate through vibrant posters, engaging comic books, newspaper advertisements, radio spots, and television cartoons. Ms. Bonelli has spoken widely and authored “Exit Berlin”, the story of a woman desperately trying to extricate relatives from Germany after the Nov 9-10,1938 Kristallnacht pogrom, based on her letters in AJC’s archive.
