JWV Supports Aid for Military Service People and Their Families

Fall 2003

The Jewish War Veterans of the USA (JWV) proudly supports our troops who are currently serving, especially in Iraq and Afghanistan, to protect the freedoms that we hold dear. We also wish to express our support and honor their families, who are carrying on with their lives, often under grave financial hardships while their loved ones are serving overseas. This is especially true for those National Guard and Reserve troops who have been deployed for active duty in this time of peril. Many of these families are facing a sudden and substantial decrease in income for the main family wage earner and are suffering under the strain of decreased resources, especially should a family emergency arise. There are several relief agencies that can help the families of our brave troops in case of financial peril resulting from the deployment of a loved one. Their aid is extended to qualified families of active duty, National Guard and Reserve forces currently activated for battle in the Middle East. If you would like to help your fellow and sister veterans who are fighting and their families, who are bearing the brunt of a long and difficult separation, please contribute to one of the relief agencies listed below. The agencies are: Army Emergency Relief, Attn.: Donations, 200 Stovall Street, Room 5-N-13, Alexandria, VA 22332-0600; Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, 4015 Wilson Blvd., 10th Floor, Arlington, VA 22203; Air Force Aid Society, Inc., Suite 202, 1745 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA 22202; and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, 4200 Wilson Blvd., Suite 610, Arlington, VA 22203-1804.
