JWV National Commander Condemns Remarks of Congressman Moran

Winter 2003

Daniel Weiss, National Commander of the Jewish War Veterans of the USA (JWV), today condemned Northern Virginia Congressman Jim Moran in the strongest possible terms for his anti-Semitic remarks of March 4, 2003. "Ignoring facts, Moran has shown himself to be an idiot and a liar," said NC Weiss. "His stupid words are those of an ignoramus." "JWV represents those of the Jewish faith who have fought and died for the United States of America. Moran's disgraceful words are a slur against all of us who have served in this nation's armed forces from the time of the Revolution until today, when thousands of Jewish servicemen and women are serving in the U.S. military." "I invite Congressman Moran to visit the National Museum of American Jewish Military History at 1811 R Street, NW, in Washington, DC," said NC Weiss. I offer to personally take him through our museum, especially our exhibit devoted to those of the Jewish faith who have been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor." "Moran's remarks are unforgivable. Let's now see whether he's man enough to show up here," concluded NC Weiss.
