JWV Calls for Utmost Cooperation Among US Intelligence Agencies

Summer 2007

Jewish War Veterans of the USA (JWV) has called for better coordination and a complete halt to "turf wars" among America's intelligence agencies. The call was issued by JWV National Commander Bernard Becker. "There should be no turf wars, with each intelligence agency holding vital information close to its chest, when America is faced with an unavoidable terror war," Mr. Becker declared. "While the Vice President, Secretary of Defense and others are predicting as inevitable another major terrorist attack on America, the American people need to know that their defenders are concentrating on protecting the nation, not protecting their turf ." "We were caught short once, on September 11. We owe it to those who were murdered that day not to forget so quickly the lessons we learned," Mr. Becker continued. "Our armed forces and intelligence agencies must make every effort to prevent further attacks on America.
