JWV Asks Jewish Community to Follow-Up Rally with Pro-Israel Emails, Letters and Phone Calls

Summer 2002

Jewish War Veterans of the USA (JWV) has called for American Jewish community to keep up its pro-Israel efforts following the tremendously successful rally April 15 at the US Capitol. The call to continued action was issued by JWV National Commander Bernard Becker, following the rally. "The Jewish community expressed its tremendous support for Israel with this rally," NC Becker said, "but just one day of a rally is not enough. The problems facing Israel will not go away in a day, and our support must be for the long-term as well. We have to keep reminding the President, as well as our Senators and Representatives, that our support for Israel is unwavering. "We need to write letters, send emails and make phone calls to let the President know we appreciate all that he has done for Israel, and that we want him to remain steadfast in his support," Mr. Becker continued. "Email can be sent to the President at ; mail should go to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 20500; phone calls should go to the White House Comment line at (202) 456-1414. Israel's enemies use all those contacts. The Jewish community must use them, too."
