Jewish War Veterans of the USA Calls for Preparations for Action Against Iran

February 2012

Washington, DC - As Iran threatens to launch a preemptive strike against the United States and Israel, the Jewish War Veterans of the USA (JWV) urges Congress to immediately approve the recent request to provide 200 GBU-31 bombs and three KC-135 aerial refueling tankers to Israel.

In view of Iran's preparedness to pursue a preemptive strike, it is imperative that Israel, one of America's steady and continuing allies in the Middle East, is adequately prepared to protect itself. It is important that Iran's leadership understands that Israel, as well as the United States, is ready to take military action against Iran as a last resort.

Iran is a credible threat for both the United States and Israel. Only by increasing pressure on Iran to abandon its nuclear ambitions, will this situation be resolved.
