Subject: Allied Veterans Mission

  • Allied Veterans and JWV Leadership Missions Oct. 7-17, 2010
  • This year's trip will be 25th Allied Veterans Trip
  • Allied Mission is a unique trip with JWV sponsoring a veteran from another veterans’ organization
  • Allied Mission and Leadership Mission will go together, but will diverge at times as Allied Mission participants visit non-Jewish sites on certain days
  • Trip will give all participants insight into the current political situation in Israel
  • TZEVET 50th Anniversary dinner will include Israeli President, Defense Minister, and Chief of Staff
  • Everyone on trip should have received neck pouch with full itinerary by now
  • Check-in will be at Terminal B at Newark Airport at El Al counter 3 hours before 2:15 PM departure
  • Itinerary will include visit to Rabin center and meeting with his daughter, TZEVET anniversary dinner, briefing with IDF intelligence officer, Caesarea, Haifa, Meggido, Sea of Galilee, among other highlights
  • Optional trips on Sabbath to Jaffa, Masada, and the Dead Sea are included in price
  • Guides in Israel need to know in advance if participants have any special physical requirements
  • No need to change money
  • Guide is retired LTC in the IDF, has led several JWV trips before, and has been widely praised by previous participants
