- The 2008 VAVS National Advisory Committee Meeting is scheduled for April 9-12, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, FL.
- The deadline for submitting nominees for the Male/Female Volunteer of the Year Awards is February 28.

- Please let National know if you are having any problems at your hospitals.
- The VA wants to combine four hospitals in Massachusetts into one. The Department of MA is fighting this proposal.
- Sepulveda VAMC—volunteers are provided six hour meal tickets instead of four hour tickets
- JWV member in Arkansas run a “Birthday Buddy” program. Volunteers go each month and give gifts to veterans who have had a birthday that month.
