- For long-term planning purposes, important to implement the Preamble to JWV Constitution as a road map for goals
- Focus should be on membership
- Emphasis on local issues for Posts to attract new members and get attention from local community
- Posts should look for ways to be on new media such as Facebook and Twitter to attract new and younger members
- Attract new members by means of programming that appeals to their interests
- Unlike other Jewish organizations, JWV interacts with greater non-Jewish community, which is a strength for the Jewish community
- In current bad economy JWV has an opportunity to influence state veterans' budgets
- Must accept current period of turbulence and change as a challenge that must be accepted
- Possible reorganization to meet new challenges
- Possibility of creating virtual posts for new members who don't have time or desire to attend meetings
- Possibility of use of JWV Online forum as way of expanding organization
