Subject: Finance Board
- Must to educate echelons about importance of finance board reports, which they don't like and don't understand
- Previously each echelon supported itself and was able to raise its own funds
- Older members raised their own money in the past so they still think they have no obligation to National
- Echelons don't understand that monies raised through matching funds go to operating funds
- Have to support our own organization if it is going to survive
- Many posts that had previously been very large are still sitting on money collected long before
- Difficulty in getting reports returned by certain date
- Possibility of deducting late fee from dues rebates if report is received late
- Difficult to challenge reports
- Possibility of requesting that all NEC members be members of museum
- Suggestion to add line to print name, not just sign it due to difficulty of reading signatures
- Reports must be in by date certain
