- Important to bring news of local Posts to the attention of local press
- Must get word of all Post activities into local papers - All news is local
- Each Post should have a member who is liaison to local media
- National Headquarters does not have the staff to do local media liaison
- Post commanders should develop programs that create excitement among membership so people will want to attend meetings and other activities
- Meetings can be place to set up other activities and actions
- Leadership involves getting new people excited by new ideas and letting them set up programs under the mentorship of older leaders to give new people an opportunity to lead; established leaders must provide guidance and support to new members to encourage them to be leaders themselves
- Each Post must have activities to fit its own demographic; there isn't just one model
- Leadership must be transferred from one generation to the next
- To attract new members, it is important to mention Jewishness of organization
- Important to emphasize to each member the importance of his job to encourage new leadership
