Subject: Honoring Our Ailing and Deceased JWV Comrades
- All Posts should have a sunshine committee to go into the state homes, VA homes, and hospitals
- We visit those that are ailing as much as possible and bring comfort items.
- Keep tabs on all comrades that are ill
- Offer rides to events when possible
- Make an effort to call and keep in touch with members in nursing homes or who are sick
- On holidays – they go into nursing homes and hospital and help out with the patients
- Work cooperatively with other groups – Jewish and non-Jewish
- When Jewish veterans die, Posts need to do everything they can to participate in the service
- Extend this service to members and non-members who pass
- Purchase Yahrzeits at NMAJMH for Post members
