Subject: Finance Board
- Finance Board is looking for suggestions to enforce compliance with its rules
- Causes to which Posts donate include hospitalized veterans, the National Museum of American Jewish Military History, Comfort House, and Fisher House
- Post monies may not be donated to other veterans organizations or used for extravagant social activities for members
- Finance Board should have more effective way to punish those who do not file
- Outgoing echelon officers should educate incoming officers on duties, including finance board requirements
- Posts that don't file reports generally do not care if they lose right to vote at Convention
- Suggestions for better compliance include having he Department Commander keep track of reports and sign off before they are sent to Finance Board; having all Department forms reviewed by Department Auditor before submission
