Subject: Leadership at all levels—Meeting your PNCs

  • Some posts have started certificate programs to honor veterans in their communities.
    • This could be used as a recruitment tool. Honor the veteran with a certificate and hand out information on the JWV.
    • Must be done at the local level.
  • Members are encouraged to place holiday greetings in The Veteran.
  • The Allied Veterans Mission to Israel is an important PR program for the JWV. Participants always give positive feedback and come away with a greater appreciation for Israel and the JWV. Unfortunately, support for the Allied Veterans Mission is down this year. JWV needs support from more departments to make this important program successful.
  • There will be a banquet on March 8, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of JWV’s Protest March against the Nazis. The banquet will take place in Washington, DC, following the NEC meeting.
  • The 2008 JWV calendar is in the mail and you should receive it shortly.
  • Members should provide JWV with their e-mail addresses and sign up to receive JWV press releases and other announcements. This will help JWV keep you informed of what is happening at the national level.
