- Leaders must attract new, younger generation of members through work with shuls, Jewish centers, and, if necessary, ads in Jewish press
- There is no longer a pool of veterans of previous wars from which to draw
- Leaders must develop followers at local level
- Word of mouth (talking to people during poppy drives, at meetings of other VSO's, etc.) effective in getting new members
- Should have tables at community events such as block parties
- Effective to have membership forms on you when meeting potential new members
- Important to give jobs to new members as soon as they come into the fold
- To reach out to younger generation online posts are being established with first one up and running soon
- Online store for purchase of supplies will be up soon
