Subject: Leadership - Post Commanders
- Finding new members can be difficult
- Good way to recruit members is to advertise in Jewish newspapers
- It is against JWV rules for Post quartermasters to collect dues
- Posts receive names of their members who have paid dues and their share of monies on a regular basis from National Headquarters
- Changes in life member dues aimed at younger members, not Korea or WWII generation
- Dues structure has been changed, but per capita dues themselves have not been raised
- Military and law enforcement agencies are good place to look for new members
- Recruit new members by appealing to their desire to help others
- Posts can often do more for veterans by hooking up with other veterans groups or fraternal organizations in stand-down programs
