- Important to continue to solicit funds for permanent exhibit to be met with matching funds
- Plans proceeding for museum to sponsor First Annual Special Service Honoring the Jewish Fallen Heroes of Iraq and Afghanistan
- Asking all synagogues to read names of 40+ Jewish Fallen Heroes of Iraq and Afghanistan at services on Memorial Day weekend
- National organization co-sponsoring service at 6th and I Historic Synagogue in Washington where NMAJMH President Magidson will speak
- Hope to have families of Fallen Heroes attend
- Museum is very concerned about availability of operating expenses
- Museum runs a deficit of approximately $150,000 every year and needs additional funds to operate
- Upcoming events at the Museum are Family stories: Daughter, Mothers and Bubbes May 1 (in conjunction with Washington DC JCC); Family Stories: Sons, Fathers and Zaydes June 5 (in conjunction with Dupont-Kalorama Museum Consortium); noontime lectures with Historian Jeff Greenhut in July; and presentation by WWII historian Marvin Barrash
- Museum certificates provide a small but steady income source for museum
- Cataloging of items in archives is going well
- NMAJMH has ongoing relationship with Holocaust Museum, Museum of Jewish Heritage, National Museum of American Jewish History and hopes to expand relationships with those museums and add relationships with others
- In Yahrzeit program for $100 can purchase entry with a bio of up to 150 words and a photo; listing comes up automatically on day of Yahrzeit and is always searchable on data base every day
